As part of a Community Service Project by the IC Of SJI, we have decided to offer our service to the kids who are
mentally and physically challenged. On 11th May 2013, the Interact
Club of St. John’s Institution helped out in the Sports Day of Special Children
Society of Ampang (SCSOA). It was held in Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran (JPS)
Ampang. 11 members attended.
Before the event started, we were
required to usher the parents and guests to the parking lot. The Sports Day
started at 8 am. The boys were instructed to take care and assist the kids, and
even participated in a race with the kids! Our president, Huey, and treasurer,
Alden, both participated in a race. Alden managed to win 3rd prize,
not bad. The event finished at 11am and we cleaned up the area till 12pm. After
that, we went to play a game of futsal nearby to cap off a hectic day.
