Joint Board Of Directors Installation 2012/13.

The post below indicates how an upcoming Installation was on it's way, well now that it's come and gone, here's a brief summary of what took place.

Again this event was held on the 9th of November from 2.30 p.m. till 5.30 p.m. at D'Villa Residences located somewhere along Jalan Ampang. Here's a fun fact, the very building used for the event is owned by Past District Govenor (PDG) Dato' Jimmy Lim who is currently a House Developer and has taken position as the President of the Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur DiRaja previously.

The event was fully sponsored courtesy of Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur Diraja.

On the eve of the event, preparations were underway as well as rehearsals to ensure the smooth flow of events the next day.

So, at 3.00p.m. the crowd was already filling in as the number of empty chairs decreased. The emcees, Mahdev Singh Sachdev of St.John's Institution and Prabjit Dev Singh of Sri Gardens announced the arrival of the VIP's and the event took off soon after everyone took their seats. After the formalities of speeches and singing of the National Anthem followed by the Interact Song, the roll call session was held and from the result of it, we know that the following schools were present:

  1. Ampang Road Girl's School
  2. SMK Puteri Titiwangsa
  3. St.John's Institution, KL.
  4. Sri Gardens
  5. Victoria Institution
  6. Methodist Boy's School
  7. SMK TTDI
  8. SMK Aminuddin Baki
  9. SMK Seri Bintang Utara
  10. SMK Seri Bintang Selatan
  11. Convent Bukit Nanas
Before moving on to the installation, a performance was put up by the interactors of SAB which was a medley of songs with the highlight being an acoustic version of PSY's Gangnam Style.
Soon after that, the Installation Ceremony began with 3 schools namely SJI, SGI Interact & SGI Youth Act before another performance by SGI which was also very similar to that of SAB.
Thereafter, the installation was continued with the remaining 4 schools, CBN, SBU, SBS and SAB. The ceremony was finished with a closing performance by the checkered-dressed interactors of SJI who put up a thunder-clapping dance item.

An impromptu cake-cutting ceremony was slid into the schedule to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Rotary Club since it's establishment. All ICC members, VIP's and President's from their respective clubs came up on stage to help in blowing the candles.

The event ended at 5.30 with refreshments and the floor was open for interactors to mingle as well as exchange name cards.

Other agenda's include an ICC meeting that was held at 6.00p.m.
